How to upload a web page

To upload your home page, follow these instructions:

You have to have an FTP program, such as WS-FTP. You can download it here.

Install the program and use the following guide to configure:

	Start the program.
	Create a new profile for MCM Systems by clicking new. Name it MCM
	Host Name/Address: www.mcmsys.com
	Host type: Automatically detected
	User ID: enter you user name
	Password: enter your password
	Account: leave blank

Now click the 'Startup' tab at the top.

	Initial Remote Site Folder: /home/user_name/WWW

(where user_name is your MCM Systems user name)

Now click ok to connect.

The left panel contains files on your computer. The right panel contains files stored in your folder on our computer. You MUST be in the WWW directory on the server. The first page you want people seeing when visiting your site will have to be named index.htm or index.html. Find your web pages in the left panel and click the --> arrow between the panels to upload the files. This may take a few minutes depending on the size of files.

Be sure to e-mail mcm@mcmsys.com so I can add your home page to the list!

(Or you can bring the files to me and I will upload them for you.)

How to use our hit counter

You may use our hit counter on your webpage. To use it, add this in your html document:

    <img src="/cgi-bin/Count.cgi?df=????????.dat">

, where you replace ???????? with your login name.
